BRENEY COMMON

We had a great visit to Breney Common. The Black Darters and Purple Hairstreaks were
out and looking fresh but the Emperor Dragonflies were all looking a bit tatty.
Everything was either mating, laying or just emerged.

The pictures below were all firsts for us. The first shot is not great
but they are rare in the uk (only in Scotland), and as it shows
the green sides to the face, we have included it.

More from Scotland

Everything in Scotland seemed to be at a distance, including these Dotterel.
We had to climb to the plateau on Cairn Lochan at approx. 4000 feet.
It was hard going and took about 7 hours for the climb up and down.

TROUP HEAD, SCOTLAND

We have just come back from a week in Scotland and one of
the places we visited was the huge Gannetry at Troup Head.
