1st Day of a New Year.

We were delighted to finally get the Grey Phalarope and add it to our British list, we have only ever seen them in California. The Eiders were way out but still nice to see.

  1. It was good to see the Grey Phalarope. I did see one at Welney WFT once a few years ago. Shame they are not in their summer plumage when they visit here.

  14. Happy New Year to you both! That's a very nice start to your year. Here in Massachusetts I did a Christmas bird count on Jan 1st, beginning the year with Great Horned and Northern Saw-whet Owls - not too shabby for starters!

Hope to see you guys again in 2011.

    Cheers,

    James
