Hoopoe at Polgigga.


I managed to get the Hoopoe at Polgigga Cricket Ground today. 
One of the half dozen or so in West Cornwall at the moment.

  4. Fantastic! This is one of my favorite birds! (Although I have never seen one in the wild!!! They are so funny and they have an impressive plumage. Lovely series, congrats!

  5. Wow! What an amazing bird to find in the Uk. And there are multiples present you say. I can well imagine that people from all over the country will be descending on Cornwall for this special sighting. The last time I saw them was in France and Spain last July .

  7. Now I am sure the climate is chanching To find this bird in the UK in larger numbers sure is one sign When I lived in Israël they where so common. Great you could make such wonderful captures of it.

  9. the hoopoe is here in Germany so rare that it is impossible to get him here in free nature before the camera.

  16. Always a pleasure to see- seems to be a bit of an influx- hopefully one or two will make it up to the Scottish highlands. Glad Cornwall is starting to get some good spring birds :)

  20. Beautiful and cute photographs. It really needs a lot of patience to click photos like this. My cousin is going to get married sometime this year and he really looking for a similar kind of Port Macquarie Photographer who can click awesome pics during his wedding.
