REDPOLL & SISKIN

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN REDPOLL IN TRURO.
I HAVE TO SAY A BIG THANK-YOU TO BRIAN KENNETT FOR 
ALLOWING ME ONTO HIS PROPERTY TO TAKE THE 
PHOTOS AND ALSO FOR SUPPLYING THE TEA.

  10. Great pics John, but i found (and this is my personal opinion), that the are a little hard on contrast and sharpness, but still awesome foto's.

  17. Cracking set of shots John,the Redpoll shots are superb,not done much lately and the PCs is playing up and had to drop it into the doctor for a overhaul.

  18. Great images, John! Don't take Ludo's comment to heart too much (or perhaps it was an April Fool comment?) - I've noticed just how bright and contrasty Siskins and Redpolls are now that they're coming into their summer finery. And the feathers are also well defined and 'sharp' to the naked eye. I had the pleasure of holding a female Siskin a couple of days ago - a beautiful bird. I picked her up as she was just sitting on the ground (perhaps she'd hit a window?). I'm pleased to say that she soon flew away.

    Make the most of these birds whilst you can. They're thinning out in our garden now - just 6 Siskin and 8 Redpoll today!

  22. Truly a wonderful bird this Redpoll. In the Netherlands we do not have this bird. Nice and sharp pictures with stunning detail.
