HAYLE ESTUARY & SWANPOOL.

Well, I never did catch up with the Franklin's Gull that's been hanging
around but I did see this Cattle Egret on Hayle Estuary instead of
in a field of Cattle so that was an unexpected bonus.
The Nuthatches were taken at Lelant Saltings.

  3. Hello John,
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a kind comment on my post :)
I envy your Golden plovers, one species I never get to see :( !!!
The Bullfinch is also a rare one now here unfortunately.
Cattle egrets were severely decimated in the winter of 2011/12 but their numbers are back to normal again in the South-west of France where I live.
    Great post and photos!!
    Enjoy the coming week

  5. Estuaries are such productive habitats for an entire range of organisms, one of my absolute favourite environments to visit. I envy you the fact that in the UK, no matter where you live, you are always within driving distance of an estuary. Looks like you had a fine day, John, despite missing the Franklin's Gull.

  9. An absolutely delightful post, John. You're getting some fabulous results with your current set up. Your flight images are really impressive, and the detail in your images is superb, especially with the Nuthatches.

Best wishes to you both - - - Richard
