WE HAVE BEEN OUT A COUPLE OF TIMES OVER
THE WEEKEND, MOSTLY TO BISSOE VALLEY BUT
ALSO TO BRENEY COMMON FOR BLACK DARTER.
THIS USE TO BE THE MOST RELIABLE SPOT FOR
THEM BUT THEY ARE NOW FEW AND FAR BETWEEN
SINCE ALL THE WORK THAT HAS BEEN DONE THERE.
WE ONLY FOUND 1 AFTER SEVERAL HOURS
OF SEARCHING, SUCH A SHAME.

Some great finds. To bad about the Black Darter, indeed a shame that the works had a big hand in the loss of this species. Hope that next season it will turn out all right.

Dragonflies are stunning and the master pilots. Great photos.

ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry to hear of the Black Darter situation, John. However, you managed some fabulous shots of a range of species that I'm more than a little envious of. No Black Darters, Golden Ringed, Keeled Skimmers, or Common Hawkers for me this year!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you both - take good care - - - Richard
