The Great Tits in the box in our garden have been busy with a second brood and we can hear the young in there, they must be nearly ready to fledge. The squirrel is back on the peanuts so she probably has young somewhere.
We haven't posted anything for over a week and birding has been pretty quiet, everything is sitting on nests. John has been busy with Moths and Bugs however, so here is a selection from the past month or so.

ReplyDeleteNice collection of moths and bugs.
ReplyDeleteNice series of shots! It's interesting how different these creatures look when magnified. Thank goodness they are not large or we would be terrified all the time. I especially like the shot of the ladybug with the water droplets on it. I like the shot of the squirrel too. I've been enjoying watching and photographing the squirrels in my yard, although the ones here are the Arctic Ground Squirrel. Hmmm, in the last few days I've posted butterfly and squirrel shots too. Seems to be a theme for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteLovely set of shots, the brimstone is a beauty.

Hi JR and Sue.
ReplyDeleteYou have again taken some lovely photo's, something for everybody there, apart from birders, but it is a very quiet time on the bird front.
Hi Hohn,
ReplyDeleteI thought your Peregrin shots were superb and in no way revealed the location, to be honest I didn't realise their level of protection until last weekend . I can't believe you had negative comments.
Sam
Sorry about your name spelling. A slip of the finger.
