This is the last of our Cyprus Photos. It is mostly Butterflies and Orchids. I have tried to name the Butterflies but not the Orchids. Please let me know if any are wrongly named. Sue
Although superficiously the same, the first is an Eastern Dappled White and the second an Eastern Bath White. The Bath has regular 'waisted' green markings around the edge of
the wing and also several different black markings including one with a green centre.
Below are some of the many different Orchids that we saw.
I've just caught up with all of your Cyprus posts, really wonderful stuff! You saw so many beautiful species and took such a lot of lovely photos. How I envy all that light and sunshine!
A most beautiful series of nature images! Love the great variety of butterflies, orchids and insects you feature in this post. I oohed and aahed while viewing each excellent image! Glorious!
Remarkable series of shots of these lovely butterflies and dragonflies.Good bit of information concerning the Bath White. As far as I can tell all species correctly named.
