At long last there are a few Dragonflies around. These were taken on visits to Ventongimps, Bissoe Valley and Breney Common, were we also saw just one Silver-Studded Blue Butterfly.
You've really whetted my appetite with these wonderful images, John. I just don't seem to be seeing many dragonflies/damselflies this year (or butterflies, for that matter). Maybe it's because I'm not going to the right sort of places, but I suspect that (unfortunately) that's not the main reason.
It is grand to see so many different Dragonflies and Damsels! Your photographs are wonderful. It has been very hot here. I have not gone pond watching.... I do love the odes....hopefully the temperatures will cool a bit, 105 is too hot for me. Sherry
