A Long Weekend in Finland.

Here are a few pictures from our recent trip to Finland. Some of these were taken in the forest so the lighting is not great (Tengmalm's) or at a great distance (Blue-tail and Siberian Jay).
We packed our thermals but the first two days were like being in the Med. and the permanent daylight took some getting used to.

  3. The Owls are wonderful! And I absolutely love that Willow Grouse. But I must kid you a bit - I think that last photo is a Moose not an Elk!! LOL.

  7. That's a pretty good bag-full for a long weekend! You won't be surprised to hear that the owls are my favourite, but I'd have loved to have seen any of them. Great images - thanks for the inspiration!
