WASP SPIDER |
This Wasp Spider sitting on the edge a small envelope gives some indication of their size.
Some are quite large, espescially the females.
Successful work and Good pictures. Congratulations.

Beautiful Spider, it looks a wasp too, great photos.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing looking spider, never seen one before.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! That spider is quite robust!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Wasp Spider. I'm not a fan of spiders, but they are beautifully marked!
ReplyDeleteFantastic images of the wasp spider love the first and third image.
ReplyDeleteOh My...I would most assuredly have heart failure ;(...well maybe not, but they sure are huge...pretty, but huge and they are spiders.
ReplyDeleteThe only time I found one of these, I was leading a group of about 40 people in Bosnia almost exactly five years ago. I called them over, and I think that most of the group took photos of it. I'd never dreamed that a spider as spectacular as this could exist in UK! Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteace - where were they John? not seen one yet.
ReplyDeleteExcellent images John, look forward to more of your work.
ReplyDeleteThank you one and all for your comments.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
John! Well documented photographs of wasp spiders. High quality images. In January 2014 I saw a colony of spider which I photographed and by going through your images I could identify it as a wasp spider.
