MARSH FRITILLARY AT BRENEY COMMON.

YESTERDAY WE WENT UP TO BRENEY COMMON HOPING
FOR MARSH FRITILLARY AND WERE NOT
DISAPPOINTED, THEY WERE IN ABUNDANCE.
SUCH A PRETTY BUTTERFLY AND QUITE SCARCE
SO TIMING IS EVERYTHING. OF COURSE YESTERDAY'S
BRILLIANT SUNSHINE ALSO HELPED.

ALSO A FEW SMALL PEARL-BORDERED FRITILLARIES AROUND.

  7. Great stuff. Been away on holiday therefore not had a chance to look at Windmill. Did pop down there last night to do some tidying up and look for nightjars (no luck) and noticed there were a couple of trespassers there on 26th May. Shame I missed you!
