CATCHING UP .

I HAVE BEEN OUT AND ABOUT LOCALLY WITH THE 
SMALL CAMERA THIS WEEK, LOTS OF INSECTS 
AROUND AND OF COURSE BUTTERFLIES.
THIS BEAUTIFUL DEMOISELLE HAD JUST CAUGHT A MAYFLY.

 WE WERE IN BRISTOL LAST WEEK-END VISITING FAMILY SO 
WE STOPPED AT HAMWALL NR, INITIALLY FOR BROWN HAWKER
 WHICH WE SAW BUT THEY NEVER SETTLED FOR A PHOTO. 
WE DID GET THESE SMALL RED-EYED AS A CONSOLATION.

  1. Another beautiful set of images. I think the Brown Hawker is probably one of the hardest species to photograph. No surprise then that you didn't get a shot.

  3. An absolutely wonderful set of images, John. I'm extremely envious of your Small Red-eyed Damselfly images. It's a species I have never seen and I'd happily swap a dozen perched Brown Hawkers for just one Small Red-eyed. With my very best wishes to you and Sue - - - Richard
