We spent nearly 4 hours sea-watching at Pendeen today (only the 3rd or 4th time we've done this) . No pictures, which is what we expected but we thoroughly enjoyed it and intend to do more. Got a couple of lifers into the bargain so that can't be bad.
John went to Stithians last weekend so here are some pictures from there and from around the garden and from when I've been walking the dog.
Glad you enjoyed sea watching. I had a go at Porthgwarra last weekend and found it thoroughly enjoyable. Pendeen is looking good for tomorow as well. I'll have another go tomorow and my account of the day will be available at http://toolatetotick.blogspot.com/

HELP. All our previous comments have disappeared, and Simons isn't showing, does anyone know why. Have checked the settings, although we haven't changed them. Everything looks ok. Not even sure if this will publish!
ReplyDeleteThe invisible comments may be the text colour not showing? Right click over them on here, and drag the mouse, as though to copy, and they are visible.
ReplyDeleteA great set. Especially like the butterflies.
If you contact me on wildlifetales@googlemail.com I might be able to help!
ReplyDeleteSue The text colour of the wording of the comments is governed by the "text colour" generally. I've just experimented with my blog and if I change the "text colour" from white (as it normally is) to another colour, not only does the "body" text change colour but the "comments body colour also".
ReplyDeleteHowever, this still really doesn't explain it as the text in the body of your blog is clearly visible. It might be worth just changing the text colour anyway to see if there's any difference? Good luck - this must be so frustrating for you!
Great pictures as always you sure have a good eye for nature.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all suggestion re: missing comments, they were actually still there, but couldn't be seen because of black text on black background. The template I am using will not let me change the comment text colour, so I'll have to have a rethink.
ReplyDeleteSuperb set of images great detail in the macro shots when enlarged. Not sure the black text/red background works though?
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, each and every one; but the spider is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteIn all the excitement of "missing text" problems I forgot to say - Wonderful shots and I like the "fluffiness" of your final Great Spotted youngster :) - nice one!
ReplyDeleteit takes alot of commitment and patience to sea watch! well done on the lifers. Great montage of photographs too.
ReplyDeleteI love everything in this post. Including the little mouse in the feeding tray. Beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful selection of crisp photos. I agree with Wilma. The spider shows so much detail.
