We spent a couple of hours walking around Marazion Marsh to-day, as did a lot of other birders, looking for the Citrine Wagtail and Spotted Crake. Managed to get the Wagtail (pity about the grass), but no sign of the Crake. There was nothing else about except for these lovely Migrant Hawkers.
Nice clear images, couldn't believe the Citrine flew off just as I got there. A lot closer than this mornings pictures!! Well done.
ReplyDeleteThat is brilliant, Citrine Wagtail at its best.
ReplyDeleteIt was showing well just after i got there this morning but i dipped on the Crake as well John. Had a Sparrowhawk rip right through as well when myself and Bob were lokking for the Crake..

Well done with the Wagtail, lovely photos too. I enjoyed catching up with the great pics on your last few posts and was very sorry to hear of the computer crash and loss of your photos, I think we all dread that!

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your comments.
ReplyDeleteFollowing advice from several of you we found our blog pics.for 2009 in Picasa and worked out how to download them back to our computer. They came back perfectly sized (not thumbnails),so now all we have lost is stuff that was never on the blog.Big sigh of relief from John!
Thanks for all your help.
Great shots of the Cit Wag, nicely showing the ID features. I was gutted for you to read about your computer crash, that happened to me a while back and I lost all my unbacked up shots! Now I keep a load of DVD's to burn copies of all my shots to.
