Baird's at Longrock.

We paid a visit to Marazion Marsh today hoping for the Spotted Crake but drew a blank, the Citrine Wagtail was still showing but otherwise all was quiet. Lots of birders around though.
Decided to try for the Baird's Sandpiper at Longrock so we hung around the toilets with our cameras!!, and after watching the wrong bird for half an hour (not too good at small waders),we eventually saw it in a flock of Sanderling.

Superb post again with fantastic shots, well done on the Bairds. I spent 2 1/2 hours there yesterday morning and dipped on all three.

  6. Yeah i've heard about you and public toilets. Glad you got into it (The Bairds not the toilet). The Sanderling are not too keen on having the Bairds around though as it was chased off quite a few times when i was there and was roosting just outside the flock of Sanderling as well. Sort of felt sorry for it really.
