Spoonbill at Marazion
Sue had to work on Saturday and I worked this morning so it was around one before we got out and our first port of call was Marazion Marsh for the Spoonbill. With mist rolling in we then set off to Nanquidno for the Snow Bunting. Sue stayed in the car and at times you could hardly see 10 feet in front of you and then.....there it was. Snatched a couple of blurry shots with Sue's camera and then the battery went. By the time I'd gone back to the car for a spare, the Snow Bunting had gone, never to be seen again!! The Med. Gull was taken at Stithians.

Great close ups John. It was miserable and misty at Torpoint too. Brightened up in the afternoon though.

ReplyDeleteYou are going to have to give up your secrets for macro photography. What gear do you use.
The spoonbill was certainly cooperative to show off its bill from different angles for you, John. The flash in the first cow's eyes make it look demented! Glad you finally got through.
ReplyDeletecheers,

...I've a bit of catching up to do here! The shots of the spoonbills are beautiful. The photo where he's turned to look at you is my favorite. I've never seen a spoonbill's bill that close before. Gorgeous!
