Nuthatch is still quite a novelty bird up in Scotland - so shots are grippers! Like the gothic influence on the birdtable too. Light was nice for the winter thrushes.
Great Nuthatch!! I wish we got those in Ireland! I miss England for is diversity of birds and wildlife; but on the brightside the Woodpeckers have made it over to my local area in Co.Wicklow!
....love the header! What a great variety. I love the nuthatch. They are such fun birds to watch. We have white-breasted nuthatches that visit all year, but the red-breasted nuthatch is much more selective. We were lucky enough to have one drop by for about a week early during migration. Wish he had stayed!
Hi JR and Sue. Another great collection. We also would like a Nuthatch in the garden but so far they have given us the swerve. Great Dipper shot John...I have photographed the one(s) I see regularly but at a distance in poor light and so far I have not been happy with the result. I would be happy with your photograph.
Great stuff. Loving the dipper pic. I have never photographed this bird, I know where they are, but for some reason I have not poked my camera in their face. "Yet".
Nice set of pictures John we dont see any Nuthatchs in our garden either
ReplyDeleteExcellant Nuthatch's John, i dipped the Dippers earlier this week. Will be back though shortly

ReplyDeleteGreat photos all, particularly the snipe which I find hard to capture because they don't stand out from their surroundings.
