The Pheasant was in a compound, not wild, but we have never seen one before and thought it was beautiful. Bit disappointed by the Castle which we expected to be dark and moody, and would you believe it not a Vampire in sight.
Snap, I have some similar shots of "horse & cart" from my 2 visits to Bulgaria. Looks like you had a good time so we wait to hear more of what youv'e seen.
...despite his illness, it looks like you had a wonderful time and saw a lot of birds! What is the blackish bird with the white bib and spots on its chest in the second row? He is very striking... Also loved the photo of the farmer in the cart being pulled by the horse. (I had the same vampire thought as Montanagirl!)
Thanks everyone. Kelly and Montanagirl, I think I've been watching too many horror films, but if you can't see a Vampire in Transylvania where can you see one. The 2 birds with white bibs are male and female Ring Ouzel.
Lovely scenery shots - looking forward to more soon! Steve
