Landsend area Sunday and Monday

Got back from Landsend yesterday only to hear about the Great-spotted Cuckoo so went out again today to Nanquidno and Cot Valley. Just left Cot Valley when we heard it had been spotted again back we went but still no luck. It will be Friday before we can get out again by which time it will probably have gone. Couldn't find the Cattle Egrets and only one sighting of Black Redstart. Had our first Butterfly of the season, and saw a small blue one but couldn't get a shot.

John put the fear of God up me, scrambling down cliffs to get these Fulmar.(I've increased the insurance)

Dartford Warbler at Kynance.

Went out yesterday hoping for some migrants, in particular Ring Ouzel. No luck, not even the over-winter at Gothian Sands. To-day however was a different story, no Ring Ouzel but we did get a Dartford Warbler at Kynance. Also saw a Hobby and Sparrowhawk at Kynance, along with Wheatear and Stonechats.

Is this Lenin or Francis Drake watching over a Stonechat? Spooky

Early Chiffchaff

Just as I was leaving St.Clements after a couple of fruitless hours I heard this Chiffchaff, singing in the garden outside the Church.

Moths, Bugs etc.

In the past 9mths or so John has become interested in Moths and Bugs etc. While I can't see the attraction myself I have to admit that some are quite attractive. Apoligies for any that are
mis-named.

Bugs

Butterflies

Moths

Moths

Does anyone know what this round thing is. Our guess is it was spun by a spider or come other insect. In reality it is quite small.
