On Friday we decided to go to the area around Goonhilly, what a disappointment.
The 2 pools on the moor just past Goonhilly NR, which are normally swarming with
Dragonflies had been dredged and drained.
Was it really necessary, surely it could have waited until the winter.
We moved on to Windmill Farm and although the big pool was drying up we did see
lots of wildlife. What a great place.
|COMMON DARTER, old fem.|
We were taking a shot of the female Common Darter when we noticed
this Common Lizard sitting below and stalking it. It got away.
|LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL|
These birds were taken earlier in the week, at Gothian Sands and Hell's Mouth.
