Brown Hairstreak

Not quite sure about this Blue Butterfly. It's very grey looking with no hint of brown or any orange spots.

I took it at Foxhole clay pits near St. Austell. John

We went to Bristol at the week-end to see our son run in the half-marathon and on the way we stopped at a reserve in Somerset and saw our first ever Brown Hairstreaks, only 2 and one of them was damaged.
Also this badly damaged Silver-Washed Fritillary.

This Canary Shouldered Thorn is also a first for us.
