CATCHING UP WITH THE LOCALS.

I've finally managed to get some local birding done.
These were taken at 2 of my favourite sites,
Stithians Reservoir and Gothian Sands.

Week-ends Birding

This image is not as sharp as I would have liked but I have included it because it is a bit different (for a Dipper). It was seeing off a rival.

Woodchat Shrike at Church Cove.

Finally caught up with the Shrike at Church Cove today. We haven't done any birding as Sue's been laid up with the 'flu, and we were worried it might have gone.

We have included the Dunnock because we think it is a very under-rated bird and we didn't want him to feel second best to the near-by Shrike.

Bits and Pieces

We spent nearly 4 hours sea-watching at Pendeen today (only the 3rd or 4th time we've done this) . No pictures, which is what we expected but we thoroughly enjoyed it and intend to do more. Got a couple of lifers into the bargain so that can't be bad.
John went to Stithians last weekend so here are some pictures from there and from around the garden and from when I've been walking the dog.
