LOCAL BIRDING

Stayed fairly local this week so these were all taken at either Stithians or St. Clements.
Avocets have to be one of my favourite birds.

A post at Last

Finally managed to get some birding done. Still, without Sue as she has been quite unwell but
is finally picking up. These are some shots from around Stithians, Marazion and Hell's Mouth.

1st Day of a New Year.

We were delighted to finally get the Grey Phalarope and add it to our British list, we have only ever seen them in California. The Eiders were way out but still nice to see.

Marazion Marsh and Hayle Estuary

Went out with my brother Chris on Friday to Hayle Estuary and Marazion Marsh.
The White-fronted Goose was a lifer for Chris although we would have liked closer shots.
We had to work over the week-end so didn't catch up with the Bittern out on the ice at Marazion. (thanks Monty)

Local Birds.

These were taken on a friends bird-table, he's lucky enough to get a Nuthatch.

The rest were taken locally when out with the Dog (in the snow).
