We were delighted to finally get the Grey Phalarope and add it to our British list, we have only ever seen them in California. The Eiders were way out but still nice to see.
It was good to see the Grey Phalarope. I did see one at Welney WFT once a few years ago. Shame they are not in their summer plumage when they visit here.
Hi John and Sue, thanks for your comments on my top 10 images of 2010. I see 2011 has got off to a flying start for you with some lovely shots of the Phalarope. Happy New Year to you both.
Hi JR and Sue. I just love your photo's, you must have been shooting for years, to get that good. I only wish I could learn quicker. Well done with catching up with the Phalarope. Happy New Year to you both.
Well done on the Grey phalarope... We have them over here but there are quite rare around Reykjavik... They only breed in one spot which is protected... I love the purple sandpiper and the brent!!! Beautiful... Happy new year BTW...
Happy New Year to you both! That's a very nice start to your year. Here in Massachusetts I did a Christmas bird count on Jan 1st, beginning the year with Great Horned and Northern Saw-whet Owls - not too shabby for starters!
