CATCHING UP WITH THE LOCALS.

I've finally managed to get some local birding done.
These were taken at 2 of my favourite sites,
Stithians Reservoir and Gothian Sands.

End of the Year.

For various reasons we have not posted anything for 6 weeks.
We have done very little birding but hope to get back into it in
the new year.
These were taken at the feeding station at Stithians Reservoir, College Reservoir and Yarner Wood.

Wishing a Happy New Year to all our followers and fellow birders.

Poltesco

Went to Poltesco today, first time for ages, really should go more often as it's really beautiful.
We were surprised to find this Sedge warbler singing from a bramble near the edge of the cliff, as there is no water and no reed beds. We wondered if it was a late arrival taking rest. Wild Ponies had been introduced to keep the grass down but we are not sure if they are Exmoor or Dartmoor, very attractive though.

You can see the eyes on this Bumblebee!

Not very happy with this Kestrel. Think I had the ISO set too high and the sky was already
very white. Will keep practicing. Sue
