Canadian Warblers

These are some of the Warblers we saw in our recent trip to Canada and Michigan. Most were taken at Point Pelee. We saw 34 species of Warbler, most very well but they are real skulkers or stay very high up in the canopy. We also went to an observatory, hence the bird in the hand waiting to be rung. It was amazing just how many people put feeders out and more than once we were invited into peoples gardens, very friendly people the Canadians.

A Mixed Bag.

Just a few things from over the week-end. All the birds were taken at Windmill Farm, including the Whinchat which was distant but nice to see.

There are a few colonies of Stick Insect around our way, this juvenile was taken in our

daughter's garden.

These Dragonfly Nymphs were taken in a Goldfish Pond at Heligan Gardens.
