Last from Northern Cyprus

This is the last of our Cyprus Photos. It is mostly Butterflies and Orchids. I have tried to name the Butterflies but not the Orchids. Please let me know if any are wrongly named. Sue

Although superficiously the same, the first is an Eastern Dappled White and the second an Eastern Bath White. The Bath has regular 'waisted' green markings around the edge of

the wing and also several different black markings including one with a green centre.

Below are some of the many different Orchids that we saw.

Northern Cyprus, part 2

This male Honey Buzzard is a bit of a cheat really, as although it is not captive ( it was saved by a local cafe owner) it roams quite freely around the cafe. It could fly off if it wanted and probably will when older and tempted by a young female.

The young Peregrines were taken at quite a distance, so they're a bit grainy, finishing off a Golden Oriole!

These Wasp Spiders are interesting. A lot lighter and less yellow that ours they were an unexpected find for us. (well, John really)

This Robber Fly is feeding on an Ermine Moth. The red Ants below are feeding on Aphids.

Note the small Fly on the Lizard's nose, he's taking a chance!

Northern Cyprus

Here are some photos from our recent trip to Northern Cyprus.

Apoligies if the lay-out is not quite right, coming home to find blogger has completely changed was a shock and I don't really know what I am doing. If anyone knows how to get back the old version for posting I would be very grateful. Sue
