PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER AT GOTHIAN SANDS.

AFTER MUCH DEBATE WE THINK THIS IS A PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER
AND NOT AN AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER.

PEREGRINES AND DRAGONS

WE WENT OUT TO THE COAST YESTERDAY AND STUMBLED ACROSS
A FAMILY OF PEREGRINES. THERE WERE 3 VERY NOISY JUVENILES.
THEY DIDN'T SEEM BOTHERED BY US ALTHOUGH I CAN ASSURE YOU
ALL THAT WE WERE NOT AS CLOSE AS IT LOOKS IN SOME SHOTS.

MARSH FRITILLARY AT BRENEY COMMON.

YESTERDAY WE WENT UP TO BRENEY COMMON HOPING
FOR MARSH FRITILLARY AND WERE NOT
DISAPPOINTED, THEY WERE IN ABUNDANCE.
SUCH A PRETTY BUTTERFLY AND QUITE SCARCE
SO TIMING IS EVERYTHING. OF COURSE YESTERDAY'S
BRILLIANT SUNSHINE ALSO HELPED.

ALSO A FEW SMALL PEARL-BORDERED FRITILLARIES AROUND.
