Went to Hell's Mouth and The Lizard at the weekend. Still not a lot of birds around. This Kestrel must have had a recent kill, judging by the bloody talons!
Don't know what species of Lizard this is. We took it at Kynance cove on The Lizard.
A good way to tell the Large Skipper from the Small Skipper is by the hook on the end of the antenna, also Small Skipper tend to be more orange on the club.
Hi, This is a very cool set of pictures... I love the wagtail and the fulmar shots a lot, but the other are also very nice. here the weather has been so bad, that the camera now entered a hibernation phase ;-)
...love the Kestrel...and the Fulmar and Razorbill shots are fantastic. It looks like you were hanging off the side of a cliff to get them! The Linnet is a cute little thing!!
Very nice images, especially the Kestrel.
ReplyDeletePresume it's a Common Lizard. Love the green beetle.
Mike
Great selection again really like the Kestrel.
ReplyDeleteThere is just something about ringlets! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, but those are some beautiful pictures. Great capture of the blackbirds snuggling up to one another! ~karen
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just read a novel that took place at The Lizard. I didn't realize it was actually a place! ~karen
ReplyDeleteStunning set as always. The Kestrel, a worthy favourite; and a great tip about the 'hook' ID.
