A visit to Windmill Farm

We paid a short visit to Windmill Farm today and got the very obliging Hoopoe, Thanks Andy.
The whole time we were there a Cuckoo was calling but we could not locate it.
Also saw our first Dragonfly of the year, it was one of the Chasers, but too fast for us.

  1. Glad you saw the Hoopoe John and Sue - and got some great photos too. That lizard looks like he's had a tailectomy!

  11. Hi John,
Great group of shots there! You are really lucky to see the Hoopoe, a bird I have constantly dipped on! I have not even seen one abroad, a true `bogey` bird!

Pretty cool bird the Hoopoe, guessing it was a stray from somewhere. I'll have to look it up.
