Week-end Birding.

I finally got around to doing some birding and went to Loe Pool for the Bufflehead. For the most part it stayed a long way out and just as it looked like coming closer the Swans came in and off it went. So only distant shots but nice to add to my British list.
The Bittern was on the far bank at College Reservoir on Friday, skulking in the reeds.

  16. Both the bittern and the bufflehead would be a nice addition in Iceland. There are few buffleheads around but still did not manage to see one. You got beautiful pictures! We are still under snow storms over here ;-)

  17. Great set of images, John. I'm very envious of the Bufflehead, but you can keep the Egyptian Goose. They've become a real pain in these parts, with numbers booming.

My faourite image here is the last one of the Cormorant. The light on the wings is beautiful.

  18. A really nice set of images John, I was tempted by the Bufflehead but my 'twitching boots' are pretty much hung up for any sort distance birds.
