We went up to Somerset and Gloucester last week-end, hoping for early
Dragonflies and Butterflies but it was so cold and windy that nothing was flying.
It was a bit disappointing but we still saw some good birds.
There were quite a few young around and we even saw signs of Beavers at Cotswold Water Park.

Absolutely wonderful, John! My favourites are the images of the Woodpecker, the Wren, and the Swift. More than adequate compensation for the lack of dragonflies.

Brilliant set John, and what a flight shot.

ReplyDeleteLovely set of bird shots. For me the Swift is my favourite, probably because it isn't a easy bird to photograph.
I think that's a great selection of images and absolutely love that flight shot
ReplyDeleteHello John and Sue, lovely series of birds. Well done on the Swift that is not so easy to do. Butterflies is the same problem here. Not much around due to the cold and hard winds.
ReplyDeleteLets hope we get still some good summer and butterflies.
Regards,
Roos
Lovely set mate you may not have got any insects, but some cracking bird images to make up for it.
ReplyDeleteHope to CU soon.

ReplyDeleteGreat bird shots, John. I was really interested to read your comments about beavers. Are they native to the UK or have they been introduced from somewhere?
ReplyDeleteHi David.
ReplyDeleteThe Beaver use to be Navtive in this Country many years ago,and now they are slowly been introduce in selected monitored locations, one of these is at the Cotswold Water Park.
John.
