GARDEN POND FIRST.

THIS CAME OUT OF OUR SMALL AND VERY OVERGROWN POND.
I WILL STICK MY NECK OUT AND SAY I THINK IT IS A SOUTHERN HAWKER.
WHATEVER IT IS IT'S THE FIRST TO EMERGE IN THE COUPLE OF YEARS THAT THE
POND HAS BEEN IN AND SHOWS THAT YOU DON'T NEED A MASSIVE POND.

WE ALSO FOUND THESE MULLEIN MOTHS IN THE GARDEN.

HAM WALL

Whenever we visit our daughter in Bristol we always make a point of dropping in to Ham Wall on the way up, primarily for Hairy Dragonfly. We saw a few but always in the tops of trees and never dropping down for a photo. Never the less we had a great days birding and even managed a very distant record shot of the Red-Footed Falcon that's been hanging around for quite some time.
