I WENT FOR THE PURPLE HERON TODAY
BUT IT KEPT IT'S DISTANCE.
THE REST WERE TAKEN AROUND WEST CORNWALL.

ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeletethe heron is well hidden you have to look closely
beautifully seen
Greetings Frank
Superb set of images, best shot I have seen of the American Golden Plover but I really like the face off between the Barwits.

I'm sorry to see that the Purple Heron wasn't cooperating, John, but you absolutely nailed it with that second AGP image - wonderful! However, I'm going to pick two particular favourites - the image with the two Barwits because of its perfection and the action it captures, and the image with the Blackwit looking on with disdain at the two Redshank (again, perfection!). The others are not very far behind, however - all are superb.
ReplyDeleteMy best wishes to you and Sue - - - Richard
Brilliant AGP shots. Lovely to see close up to appreciate the detail.

ReplyDeleteFabulous AGP. You certainly get your fair share of these in your neck of the woods!!
ReplyDeleteBar-tailed Godwit. Family disputes? Really great photos. Thanks and good good evening.
ReplyDeleteSuper post! I love the American Golden Plover! Never seen one ( I saw the Azian Golden plover, also rather rare ;-) Brillant series of birds
ReplyDeleteKindly regards, Maria
Superb photos. Beautiful birds. Happy evening.
ReplyDeleteGreat images John, good to catch up at Sennen, shame the Raptors spooked the AGP and Ruffs, just as I was about to grab a few shots.
ReplyDeleteCU SOON.
Hello John,

ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments, much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
Whole beautiful pictures and the purple heron is really a beautiful heron.
ReplyDeleteThe various plovers are great to see. In the Netherlands we are not against them and that's why blogging is so fun. I see here beautiful birds pass by. The Tureluur, Grutto and other birds have put you in a beautiful and bright picture.
Regards, Helma
A couple of real rarities there.
