Ring Ouzels

Took the Ring Ouzels at Rosewall Hill, St. Ives.

Have included this (awful) shot of the elusive Dartford Warbler just to prove we did see one. (Opposite Eagles Nest)

These Yellow Hammers were taken earlier in the week.

  1. Brilliant shots of the Ring Ouzel. I hope they hang around for the weekend, and it is good to see that a few Dartfords have survived the winter.

  2. Three words describe this post John "Jealous" "Jealous" "Jealous", those Ring Ouzal shots are stunning, and the Dartford is a nice sighting. That Yellowhammer is one of the birds I'm still trying to find to photograph, so you will have to tell me where you found it, and sooner rather than later. Great post mate well done to the Editor in Chief SUE. PS my file names have stopped coming up as well so must be a Google Problem.

  14. I have just spent a week in the Elan Valleys looking for ring ouzels amongst other things. I never saw one. By the looks of the 'lawn' they are posing on it could have been your back garden. Good shooting.
