John had an early start at work to-day (4.30am), came home cream-crackered, but decided this bird was too good to miss so we drove to Boscastle for what was a lifer for us. Sue
Nice work on the photos. These are so common here in North Carolina USA, soon they will be leaving us for the summer. I just love hearing them sing, hope you got to hear to song?
Congratulations on getting a lifer ... doesn't it feel great! Just like Christmas! The White-throated sparrow is one of my favorites. Anytime I hear that distinct call "Ohhhhh sweet, Canada, Canada, Canada, Canada" I know one is near by. And no, I'm not just saying that because I live in Canada ..LOL! Great photos of this little guy. Well done!

ReplyDeleteLovely shots of a pretty little bird. We don't get the White-throated Sparrow here in Alaska but get the similar White-crowned Sparrow in the summer.
