BLACK REDSTART AT FALMOUTH.

I had a great couple of hours at Falmouth today.
Have tried for this beauty more than once.

Saw a couple of Grey Wagtails. The second one appears to be
missing a tail so not sure it will do much wagging.

  3. Lovely Black Redstart I've seen a few but a decent image still eludes me. That Grey Wagtail is definitely missing a tail, perhaps a close call with something like a stoat

  5. Beautiful shots there John, very nicely done, I looked for my local pair a couple days ago, but no sign of them while I was there.

  6. Are you aware of birdseye.photo? These folks are collecting bird photos from around the world. I have enjoyed contributing my photos. (I have no financial ties to this project.) I am sure they would appreciate your photography.

  9. Some of the best Black Redstart images I've ever seen, John. Wonderfull !!!!

We've been having Grey Wagtail visiting us regularly for a couple of months now, though I've still not managed any decent images. Strangely, I've not seen it yet today. I hope it hasn't departed.

    Best wishes - - - Richard

  12. The Black Redstart is a very appealing little bird. Whenever I see a bird completely missing its tail I try to imagine how it might have lost it. I suspect the loss of its tail probably saved its life.
