We spent a lovely couple of hours at Bissoe Valley on Sunday.
This Golden-Ringed Dragonfly dropped into a pond and struggled desperately to get out
but its wings were covered in algae. John managed to scoop it out with the tripod and
after cleaning off what we could, we hung it out of site still flapping like mad.
When we checked later, it had gone so we will never know if it
managed to clean itself up and fly off or if it got eaten.
