Was in town with Sue today when I noticed the Peregrine on the Cathedral Spire. I took Sue home then rushed back with the scope (more car park fees) and was surprised that it was still there. Worst of all was the realisation that setting a scope up in the middle of town attracts a lot of attention.
Looking at the blood on his feet I guess Truro is short of a Pigeon.
Interesting to note that when the wind blew he shut his right eye (last picture).
Splendid observation and beautiful pictures Mike.... Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThat's great John, another good reward for your stirling efforts. I assure you had my camera been in the vicinity the Peregrine would not of stayed there!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA very different angle but effective.

ReplyDeleteLove the Peregrine shots john, when I am in Truro I always have a look for a peregrine around the catherdral, but I never have seen one.

Hi JR and Sue.
ReplyDeleteWell done on getting home and back in time to get those photo's. Very nice.
Nice shooting John and worth spending the extra pennies.
ReplyDeleteThank all you for your comments.
ReplyDeleteJohn.
It was great to see the pictures - I don't often see the peregrine falcons here in Truro, but I do find their feathers occasionally in the cloister garden. I will renew my watching.
