Had another great weekend on the Lizard. Emperor Dragonflies were everywhere, the females laying and the very aggressive males patroling and attacking everything that moved. The males tended to keep their distance from us and most had very damaged wings.
Not sure what's going on in the first picture!
Some really great images here, John!! You've made me realise that, in my quest for owls, I've been missing out on the dragonflies and butterflies. Must put that right soon. Keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteI have very happy memories of holidays at Gwithian Towans. I remember during one particularly hot, dry spell there were Adders everywhere, to the extent that there were warnings issued!
