Butterflies from around the world.

We took 2 of our grand-daughters to a Butterfly farm in the week and had a great time. It's the first time we've been to one and it was just amazing. The girls were not at all worried by the great big ones and in our next post will be some shots of them holding them. The first picture gives an idea of the size of some of them, the orange butterfly is about the size of a Red Admiral.


























These large blue Butterflies always shut their wings when they landed, this one had to maneuver its wing from behind the bar to shut it which gave us time to take a shot.

    Stunning shots of some stunning butterflies! Butterfly farms are a great way to get up close to these creatures, it`s always a bit warm in them though!

    Nature truly is glorious! Outstanding photographs of stunning creatures! The colors, wing patterns and wing shapes are absolutely breathtaking. An especially fantastic variety of butterflies you observed with your grandchildren. I am in awe! Beautiful post!

    Fantastic photos and such a nice variety of butterflies! We visited a butterfly conservatory at Niagra Falls last September and it was an wonderful experience.
