AFTER GETTING PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER, I SPENT A
DAY WANDERING AROUND A LOCAL ORCHARD.
FIELDFARES WERE QUITE NUMEROUS BUT VERY FEW REDWINGS.
MORE EXCITING THOUGH WAS THE STOAT THAT STARED AT ME
AND THEN DECIDED HE WASN'T GOING TO BE PUT OFF HIS LUNCH.

Why do you suppose we call someone we don't like, a weasel? They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteAll nice shots.
Wow, awesome pictures!
ReplyDeleteKudos to the owner of the orchard for giving you permission to wander around. I have been trying to figure out what the stoat has captured. Is it a rabbit?

Hi. Awesome photos. Stoat is a ferocious animal.
ReplyDeleteSuperb. Fieldfare can be hard to get close to so the orchard is a great spot to go to. What a bonus the Stoat was. Always makes my day when I see one of these fabulous animals. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteHello John, Stunning captures of the Stoat amazing to watch the size of its pray. Also great captures of the Fieldfare and the other birds. There are lots of Fieldfare to be seen around here as well. Is this a sign for a cold freezing Winter?

Roos
