HELSTON AND DRIFT

These shots were taken last week at Drift Reservoir and Helston.
The male Mandarin and his Leucistic female make an odd couple.
Most likely escapes but pretty none the less.

    Looking back on your blog I realised where you liveand I thought youwould have gone to see the Dalmatian Pelican. I was luck enough to see it. I have relatives down there. I didn't here about it though until I was there. I saw it from Fremmington Quay cafe.

    Yes we did see it twice,first sighting on the 11th of May 2016Around Lands End, second sighting on the 13th of November at Restronguet,also at Devoran,which is about Three Miles from where we live.Posted on Blog in Older Post.

  18. An absolutely gorgeous set of images, John! I'm not sure what the gull intended to do with the tennis ball. How did you persuade the Mallards to line up behind the Mandarin?
