I have been working in Devon and Cornwall over the last 2 weeks and have taken most of these Macro shots around the outbuilders and Station yards. John
I love your macro work, John. It's great to be able to see the things that most of us miss with the naked eye - thanks for sharing them with us! Keep up the good work!
Stunning images, John. The first image, in particular, is fantastic. Care to reveal more about the equipment used (I need to update my macro lenses). Cheers, Tim
Hi JR and Sue. What a remarkable selection of macro shots, especially the insects eye showing all the segmants that it's made up of. Couldn't pick a favourite out of all those, there all very good.
Thanks everyone for your great comments, we do appreciate them. Andy and Tim, as you know I mostly do Digiscoping using a Nikon P6000, so unlike Sue I do not use a DSLR or Macro Lens. You may be surprised to learn that most of the Insect Macro shots are taken using a Samsung Digimax camera. Out of all the small cameras this one gives best results on Macro but you do have to get fairly close. Just goes to show that you don't always need to spend hundreds on a Macro Lens. Sue takes the majority of the Butterflies and Dragonflies. John
Amazing macro photos and interesting subjects too!

Strange work you do spending most of your time on your hands and knees. Excellent shots.
